Tori Functional Trainer vs. Ozeki Rack: Which One’s Right for You?

3 minute read

When it comes to premium all-in-one racks, two names dominate the conversation: the Tori Functional Trainer Rack and the Ozeki Rack. Both are built to transform the way you train, whether you’re levelling up a home gym or upgrading your commercial floor space.

But while they may look similar on the surface, these two powerhouses offer very different training experiences. So, which one’s right for you? Let’s break it down.

Tori Functional Trainer

Versatility & Aesthetics
Ideal for a broad range of exercises from barbell lifts to cable work.
Its sleek design and smaller footprint make it a great fit for home gyms or commercial setups where aesthetics matter.

Single Cable Point
Compatible with a wide range of attachments for rows, pulldowns, and more. Customise your setup to suit your training.
Weight Limit

Has  2 x 150kg weight stacks at a 2:1 cable ratio. This means the effective weight pulled feels like 75kg/stack. Generally, attachments like the lat pulldown & low rows use one stack at a time.

Dual-Sided Use
Add attachments and train from both the front and back, perfect for partner workouts and expanding your setup.

You can also add Modular Storage and the Smith Machine Attachment (sold separately) at the rear to unlock even more training versatility.

Ozeki Rack

Efficiency & Capacity
Designed for heavy-duty lifting, with built-in low row footplate, lat pulldown, and D-handles.

The combined weight capacity and ease of switching between cable exercises cater to users focused on strength and conditioning.
Multiple Attachment Points
Swiftly swap attachments between exercises, making it perfect for quick, efficient supersets and heavier lifters.

Heavy-Duty Focus
Has 2 x 105kg weight stacks at a 2:1 cable ratio. This means effective weight is 52.5kg/stack, however, the pulldowns and rows use BOTH cable stacks simultaneously, so you have a max effective weight of 105kg for those exercises.
Train Inside the Rack
The weight stacks are at the back, allowing you to lift inside the rack.

Both the Tori Functional Trainer Rack and the Ozeki Rack deliver serious value, but the right choice depends on how you train.

Want something sleek, compact, and flexible for varied workouts? Go with the Tori.
Need maximum weight, zero interruptions, and built-in attachments ready to go? The Ozeki is your rack.

No matter your choice, both are built with VERVE’s signature commitment to quality, durability, and serious performance.
