Science and Fitness started from the ground up, literally. What began as small group training sessions in a local park has grown into a full-scale facility offering personal training, group fitness, and rehab programs through their physiotherapy space.

Their goal has always been clear: to make high-quality, evidence-based programs available to as many people as possible. When it came time to build what they call their Platinum Facility, their highest quality and highest value program, they needed equipment that could meet their growing demands and high standards. That’s where VERVE came in.

Q&A with Science and Fitness

Can you tell us a bit about how Science and Fitness began?
"We’ve gone from really humble beginnings. The business actually started in a park. It was hands-on, with wet and dewy grass, doing bear crawls and running. As we’ve evolved, our need for equipment has evolved too, along with our customers’ requirements."

What was the biggest challenge in setting up your facility?
"We’re still a small business in Australia, and we’re self-funded. We had to meet our budget and not exceed it with nasty surprises. Keeping everything within budget was the most important thing for us."

What were you looking for in an equipment supplier?
"We wanted a supplier that could meet a high standard, quality enough to handle a large volume for a long time, but still have that fancy, new feel rather than second-hand gear.

Working with an Australian-based company was essential because equipment gets used, needs replacing, and needs tweaking over time. They ticked all the boxes in terms of what we wanted."

Why was working with an Australian-based supplier so important to you?
"Because we understand that equipment gets used, it needs to get replaced, and it needs to get tweaked. Being able to work with a local company was essential for us. It gave us the confidence that if we needed anything adjusted or replaced, the process would be easy and reliable."

How did the process go when setting up your new facility?
"It was almost instant and seamless. The equipment was ready before we had even started our fit-out. Everything ran ahead of schedule, which made it really easy for us."

What stood out most about the experience?
"We were really happy with the process. The team we worked with were epic, and being able to reach out, tick the boxes we needed to, and still keep everything within budget was the most important thing for us."
