CPU vs TPU

What's the difference between CPU and TPU Polyurethane?

Polyurethane is a super stable, compressed and fracture resistant material that outweighs many aspects to that of rubber. CPU stands for Cast Polyurethane, strong wearing, temperature resistant, high strength and has excellent wear resistance when compared to TPU; Theremoplastic Polyurethane.

Many companies resort to TPU products in order to cost cut, however, VERVE does not. We pride ourselves on selling nothing but the highest quality PU plates possible, to ensure that our PU plates (CPU) stand the test of time for you and your gym.

lease be aware, PU Coated Tri Grip Plates are not designed for continual dropping. For exercises that do involve constant dropping, we recommend either our Competition Calibrated Bumper Plates or our Olympic Bumper Plates.

VERVE BE> (Be Greater Than) PU Coated Olympic Weight Plates are one of the most durable weight plates on the market made for both commercial and home gym use. These plates have a Tri Grip handle feature specifically designed for easy lifting and carrying from weight plate machines to barbells, and everything in between.

The smooth matte black finish on these Polyurethane plates is built to stand the test of time. Each weight plate variant has a large numbered weight indicator, and a coloured inner triangle that complies to IWF colours, making it super easy to recognise weight variants.

These plates fit onto any VERVE and commercial plate loaded machines, along with any olympic sized barbell, making them some of the most versatile plates on the market for any home gym or commercial setting.
