VERVE Machined Olympic Iron Plates

The VERVE Machined Olympic Iron Plates are much more accurate than regular cast iron plates and have a weight tolerance of less than 2%. This means that a 10kg plate will be no more than 200 grams above or below 10kg. The plates have the VERVE logo on one side, while the other side is flat.

Featuring a similar design theme to the classic barbell standard weight plates, the VERVE plates have the weight amounts painted in white to make the logo and kilos pop. Also, who doesn't love the clang of steel plates on a heavy lift?

Available in 25kg, 20kg, 15kg, 10kg, 5kg, 2.5kg and 1.25kg they're perfect for powerlifting, for home gyms or commercial gyms. The plates are priced and delivered in sets of two.

Features:

  • <2% weight tolerance
  • Machined construction
  • Durable painted finish
  • White painted kilos and VERVE logo
  • Range from 25kg to 1.25kg

Frequently Asked Questions

The therapy is identical. Both deliver 5 air chambers per leg (foot, lower calf, upper calf, thigh), 3 massage modes11 intensity levels from 50 to 150 mmHg, and a 15 to 60 minute timer. The difference is the design:

  • Wired runs both boots from one central controller through two air hoses. It has a stronger single pump, lets you isolate individual chambers (1–5), is the better-value option, and is the only model that accepts the Hip Attachment.
  • Wireless builds a controller and pump into each boot, so there are no hoses at all. The two boots sync over Bluetooth, the kit is lighter, it runs a little longer per charge, and it charges by USB-C.

Short version: choose wired for value, pump power and the hip add-on; choose wireless for cable-free convenience and portability.

The Hip Attachment is an add-on sleeve that extends your recovery to the lower back, hips and upper legs. It runs from your boots' existing controller, so it does not include its own control unit.

Important: the Hip Attachment works only with the wired VERVE Compression Recovery Boots. It connects through the wired controller's air-hose ports. The wireless boots have their controllers built into each sleeve with no spare ports, so the attachment is not compatible with the wireless model. If hip and lower-back recovery is on your list, choose the wired boots so you can add it later.

They usesequential air compression: overlapping chambers inflate and deflate in a wave from your feet up to your thighs, mimicking the kneading and stroking of a sports massage. This helps boost circulation, flush metabolic waste from tired muscles, ease swelling and reduce that heavy-leg feeling, so you recover faster between sessions or after a long day on your feet.

Across the range:3 massage modes(Sequence, Circulation, Combination),11 intensity levelsspanning 50 to 150 mmHg (Low 50–70, Mid 80–110, High 120–150), and5 overlapping air chambers per legcovering the foot, lower calf, upper calf and thigh. A 15 to 60 minute timer lets you set the session length, with 30 minutes as the default.

Both models are rechargeable and used cordless, so no power point is needed during a session. The wired boots give up to around 2 hours per charge; the wireless up to around 2.5 hours. Charge fully (about 2 hours) before the first use. The wireless charges by USB-C; the wired uses its included mains adapter.

The boots are a universal, adjustable fit. They use a full-length zip and wrap around your leg rather than sliding on, so they suit a wide range of body types. The sleeves accommodate a foot opening up to about 46 cm in circumference, a thigh up to about 75 cm (around 29.5"), and run roughly 86 cm from foot to upper thigh.

If you are very tall (around 6'4"+), the top of the boot will tend to sit around your mid-to-upper thigh rather than right at the very top of your leg. You still get full sequential compression from your feet through your calves to your thighs. If you're unsure, send our team your calf and thigh measurements and we'll confirm the best fit before you order.

One to two times a day, up to 60 minutes per session (the default is 30 minutes). Find a comfortable seated or reclined position, start at a lower intensity and increase to what feels good. They're great as a pre-workout warm-up, a post-workout flush, or simply to unload tired legs in the evening.

Power off first. Wipe the controller, sleeves and hoses with a damp, clean cloth, then dry thoroughly. Avoid alcohol, solvents or harsh cleaners, don't immerse them in water, and keep the hose and charging ports clear. Store everything in the included carry bag, away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity.

Best value for money

"Great plates for the price. Look fantastic on the bar and make that clattering sound. The white paint on lettering may wear off but not a big deal"

Mark G. (5/5)

I'm not going to try

"I'm not going to try and compare these to plates from other vendors. A couple of my plates had minor manufacturing defects, eg irregularities in plate surface. They all weighed in at advertised weight and worked nicely with verve dumbbells. If I had my time over I would buy from verve again."
